Position Title: Art Teacher

Overview
Universe international school is seeking a creative and enthusiastic art teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the visual arts, a deep understanding of various art techniques, and the ability to inspire students to express themselves artistically.
Responsibilities
• Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective art lessons that cater to the needs of all students, incorporating various art techniques and mediums.
• Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials that align with school standards and foster creativity and artistic skills.
• Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate students’ progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. Provide constructive feedback and grades in a timely manner.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and artistic expression. Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and respect.
• Student Support: Identify and support students with varying artistic abilities. Offer additional help or enrichment activities as necessary.
• Communication: Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and any issues that arise. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and enhance teaching skills.
• Extracurricular Activities: Participate in or lead extracurricular activities, such as art clubs, exhibitions, or school murals, to further enrich students’ educational experiences.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Certification: Valid teaching certification or license in art (specific to state requirements).
• Experience: Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
• Skills: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in integrating technology and various art mediums into teaching.
