Overview:
Alarqam School is looking for a caring and enthusiastic kindergarten science teacher to join our team. The perfect candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, a strong science background, and the ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver interactive and hands-on science lessons that cater to the developmental needs of kindergarten students. Utilize age-appropriate teaching methods and materials.
Curriculum Design: Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials that align with school standards and inspire curiosity and exploration among young learners.
Assessment: Use various assessment tools and techniques to monitor student progress and comprehension. Provide feedback and a report on student development to parents and school administration.
Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration. Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and respect.
Student Support: Identify and support students with diverse learning needs. Provide additional help or enrichment activities as needed to ensure all students are engaged and learning.
Communication: Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and any issues that arise. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and best practices in early childhood education and science teaching.
Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in or lead extracurricular activities, such as science fairs or nature walks, to further enrich students’ educational experiences.
Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, elementary education, or a related field with a focus on science.
Certification: Valid teaching certification or license in early childhood education or elementary education (as required by state regulations).
Experience: Previous teaching experience is preferred.
Skills: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in incorporating hands-on activities and technology into teaching.
