Thabisa Mazuza-Ndabambi
About Candidate
I am Thabisa Mazuza-Ndabambi, a 34 year old South African married women with an 8 year old little boy and a 2 years old baby girl. My husband is a Computer Science teacher (coordinator) who is also applying for jobs.
I have gained immense teaching experience while teaching at Leap Science and Math School (high school) grade 8-10 mathematics for 2 years. In addition to my teaching experience in high school, I have accumulated notable experience and skills at St. Paul’s Primary School teaching mathematics grade 6 and 7 for 2 and a half years. I have accummulated notable experience and skills in my current position at Nada International school teaching mathematics grade 4 to 10, this is my 6th year working abroad in KSA.
Having taught at primary and secondary school, each requiring different set of contemporary pedagogy, have resulted in an avid interest to engage with different approach to education through by teaching mathematics abroad. It is due to this interest that I think the following qualities are of greater importance to mention:
I have studied four-year Bachelors Degree in education majoring in Math and IT which thus afforded me with sound academic background in Mathematics. I have taught Mathematics at different age groups which thus helped : to gain greater confidence in the teaching fraternity, to grow ambition, to develop good communication skills, to develop classroom management skills, to maintain teacher standards, to enhance the natural ability to inspire pupils to become independent learners, to grow passion for teaching and education and to be highly motivated.
I am hard-working and drive myself to do and give my best. I am always punctual, always present, friendly, able to communicate and share my opinion appropriately, a good listener, respectful, and humble. I do possess leadership qualities and would occasionally raise teacher’s sentiments appropriately. I am able to work independently, on my own, as well as in groups as a team member and/or leader. I express a desire to learn more and more, and continuously want to broaden my personal skills base, whether it be a new mathematical concept, computer application and different teaching techniques. I am meticulous in planning and preparation for subject deliverance. I am well-loved by learners for the enthusiasm and earnestness by which I approach my work. My colorful personality also speaks of my ability to work with diverse groups of people, in different settings. I firmly believe that in order to develop to a full knowledgeable body I should be a life-long student. I readily accept challenges and exhibit a natural flair for achieving way above the expectations.
It will always be a tremendous pleasure and such an experience to teach mathematics at any country outside South Africa.
