Overview
Alarqam School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable math teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, a passion for teaching, and the ability to foster a love of learning in students.
Responsibilities
• Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective math lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, utilizing various teaching methods and technologies.
• Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials that meet school standards and align with best educational practices.
• Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate students’ understanding, progress, and areas for improvement. Provide constructive feedback and grades promptly.
• Classroom Management: Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and respect.
• Student Support: Identify and support students with different learning needs. Offer additional help or enrichment activities as necessary.
• Communication: Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and any issues that arise. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and enhance teaching skills.
• Extracurricular Activities: Participate in or lead extracurricular activities, such as math clubs, competitions, or tutoring sessions, to further enrich students’ educational experiences.
Qualifications
• Education: a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, education, or a related fields.
• Certification: Valid teaching certification or license in mathematics (specific to state requirements).
• Experience: Previous teaching experience is preferred.
• Skills: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in integrating technology into teaching.
